EL SEGUNDO — Kobe Bryant knows his body better than anyone. Despite not being able to finish the game, he said late Sunday night that he actually planned on taking part in practice the next morning — and sure enough, he did.
Bryant said he treated his strained right groin “all night last night.” And there he was, going full court with the team in a 5-on-5 scrimmage to end practice Monday.
Bryant said he still feels something there but believes it’s under control after more aggressively treating it overnight. Although the Lakers focused practice on organizing the triangle offense for better team-wide opportunities, Bryant should have his way with Detroit on Tuesday night. The Pistons are missing both Tayshaun Prince (back) and Richard Hamilton (ankle) and will have to guard Bryant with 6-foot-3 Ben Gordon or point guard Rodney Stuckey.
