Who in their right mind publishes their phone number on Twitter, then actually takes the calls?
That’s right, Ron-Ron.
Ron Artest put his phone number on Twitter (832-260-8192) asking fans to call or text him. And they did. Thousands of them. Watch him answer some of the calls from a hotel in China, where he is pimping his latest rap with some Chinese singer.
“Hey, what’s poppin’?”

And once training camp starts (or probably before), you’ll probably get great quotes from him to put into future columns. I love him as a player, and the internet stuff is an added bonus. He’ll definitely bring another dimension to this already versatile team. Have fun covering the team next season…I know I would!
Ron is super excited to be coming to LA, he is taking fan calls and this is a bad thing? True it is a shade unorthodox but give the man some credit, he is making the most of his opportunities. If you look at Ron since the brawl, he has been an upstanding teammate [even before the brawl, he wasn't a team destroyer he's just very intense]. Shane Battier called Ron the best teammate he has ever had. We are truly excited to have him on the Lakers and hopefully he will be here for a long time.

If I recall correctly, the Pacers began going downhill after they got rid of him.
Without Artest the Rockets wouldnt have got as far as they did in the playoffs last season. Excited for the upcoming season because of the addition of Artest.
OC Register, Any news when a NBA team will be moving into Honda Center. Last I heard Henry Samueli is interested in a NBA team. I love the Lakers, but dang I want our own NBA team in Honda Center representing OC. We can support a NBA team.

I like him. He’s seems genuine and real and not afraid to cut loose a little a be himself. He’s excited to be a Laker. Who wouldn’t be!?!
Plus this is his 1st year where he will go into training camp as a strong favorite to win a championship. Let the man enjoy his summer and get all of this energy out of his system now. I guarantee he’ll be all business for the Lakers come training camp.

What’s wrong with Ron-Ron taking calls from fans??!! I wish more basketball stars are that accessible considering how much the average person pays to watch the games and support the organization by buying the merchandise. He’s reaching out to fans, instead of beating them up, that’s a good thing, not bad! Stars place themselves in a cocoon and are mostly out of touch with the average person.
I think it is cool that he is taking calls and texts from fans, but I think he should stay away from trying to rap seriously. I think if he wants to do it for fun that’s ok, but devoting too much time to it while he’s a basketball player could be a problem. Hopefully it doesn’t become one. I texted and called him! No response as of yet.
