Odds are Lakers will repeat

The champagne hadn’t even dried on their t-shirts and the oddsmakers already were predicting next season’s NBA champion. Three guesses (if it takes that many, take off your Lakers jersey and throw away the purple foam finger) who they picked?bet

Sports.com have made the Lakers repeat champions by 5-2 odds, based, of course, on Phil Jackson returning and Trevor Ariza and Lamar Odom both being on the team next season. The folks at Sports.com didn’t post odds of those things happening.

After the Lakers, the oddsmakers predict that Cleveland — not Orlando — is the best bet to take the title at 3-1 odds, followed by Boston at 5-1 and then, the Magic at 7-1.

    A lot has changed over the last month. Currently I would put my best teams at:

    1.) Celtics
    2.) Lakers
    3.) San Antonio
    4.) Cavaliers
    5.) Magic
