Nellie envisions Lakers dethroning Celtics

December 28th, 2008, 11:29 pm · 3 Comments · posted by KEVIN DING, OCREGISTER.COM

LOS ANGELES — Golden State coach Don Nelson admires Kobe Bryant’s leadership and hinted that he sees the Lakers winning it all this season.

Consider these strong postgame quotes from Nellie, who had just beaten Boston in his previous game:

  • “The other team that I saw that was really good was Orlando. I know what Boston is doing and what they did, but they still have two players missing from their last team that are really important to them. They either have to get those guys back or replace them with someone, because I just think that the Lakers, after a year of going to the (NBA) Finals, are just ready. They know what it takes, and they are so well-coached and disciplined.”
  • “Kobe now as a grasp on the game like no other player, and he controls it when he wants to. He makes his players alongside of him succeed, and he is a real leader out there. I mean, he has the whole package going for him. He is not just the best player in the league but probably the best leader the way that he leads these guys and directs them and lets them succeed. He could get 50 anytime he wanted, I am sure.”

      alright let get realistic…
the lakers v. celtic game this 2008 christmas
i could not even consider a game. Those west coast
refs are absolutely outrageous. If i were a laker fan…
oh wait that isnt possible cause the lakers dont have fans
they have celelbrities who want to be seen… i consider their only
true fan to be jack nicholson and even he is the biggest tool alive…
but as i was saying if in some mythical land i were a laker fan
i would be embarressed as to how blatant the payoff between the lakers and the refs and announcers was ridiculous. I would be mortified at how the only way my team can possible win is through the loss of a couple of bucks and an extravagant number of cheap fouls. Basically, the lakers paid the refs to call fouls on rondo and perk, and the lakers decided to triple team the Boston Three Party because they knew even if it somehow got to rondo…and rondo did as much as exhale oxygen on a player it would be a foul…on the verge of a flagrant foul even…

we play the lakers again on my birthday
is it fate? of course…will i be there?
      somehow

      who got the rings snitches

      PEACE

    • Don Nelson is right. The Lakers will win the championships if the playoffs are going to be played now.

The Celtics have struggled playing against the top offensive team in the NBA. Please see my blog post at:

      for my thoughts…
