The way Clippers’ Baron Davis sees it, Sasha Vujacic is just a cog in the purple-and-gold “machine.”
After getting drubbed by the Lakers, Davis borrowed Vujacic’s self-appointed nickname to describe the entire Lakers team.
“That’s a machine and we’re trying to put our pieces together,” Davis said. “All the credit goes to them for smacking us upside the head that first game.”
And apparently that’s exactly what the Lakers’ Andrew Bynun did.
In an attempt to rip the ball out of Tim Thomas’ hands, the two knocked heads. Thomas lay on the floor a few minutes while Bynum held onto his noggin grimacing.
“We ran into a brick wall,” Davis said. “They’re a championship team. They know what they’re trying to accomplish and we’re trying to figure it out.”
