Kiss this season good-bye. At least the first half.
China’s Sun Yue appeared healthy, happy and joking with reporters at a news conference Wednesday, no trace of what lie ahead. Hours later, Sun was admitted to a local hospital after becoming ill and was diagnosed with mononucleosis. It’s been called the “kissing disease.”
Sun, who arrived from China on Sunday, will be out indefinitely. His condition will be monitored on a regular basis, according to the Lakers.
The Lakers open training camp Tuesday.

Just how long are we going to tollerate China products being recalled? Can’t we just use good old USA products and players?

There is no need for all these comments. Every time I read something on here someone has to say negative and stupid things. Keep those comments to yourself. We don’t want to know how unhappy you are with yourselves!

@ LeeLee: probably one of the better things to come out of china is that they’ve been buying our treasuries over the decade, thus, saving our economy. too bad we got greedy and f’d it all up. now i’m worried they’ll start selling which will really cause catastrophe. another bailout might be needed.

China is the biggest threat to our country. Our jobs and big companys are going there and selling their products here and running away from paying taxes and slave labor. They are very much not a friend neither are the arbas. Wake up its true not being anti-chinese. China has a 3million man army for a reason and thats to take over!!! china is already a superpower not to mention they own our housing market the mortgage to our homes thanks to your favorite republican bush. Republicans are the biggest sell outs they all should be charged for treason

why all these cries against China? without china, all your lazy, couch-potatos will all starve to death. wal-mart will be half empty. even if it is not empty, all your $40,000 a year salary will only buy half as much as before. so, stop busting the easy target. While you guys are watching NBA with a cold beer in hand, chinese people are busy working. Time will tell who laughs last.

@ EDFROM PASADENA: the U.S. companies are going to China because they want to increase profits and expand marketshare and sales. once labor and materials costs increase, the U.S. companies will leap over to the next country offering lower costs. in fact, that’s already happening with manufacturers going to vietnam and india. i think ignorance is the biggest threat to our country.

We don’t need to be afraid of China’s army, all they have to do is stop buying our debt. But that won’t happen - they need us to buy their goods and they keep loaning us the money to do so. We get poorer, they get richer and freakin own us. Who needs an army when you can do that….

Sorry to hear about Sun Yue’s health problems. No doubt all the extra attention given the team ( China - Olympic Games ) put a lot of undue stress on Sun. He seemed very cool at the media day gathering! I’m looking forward to seeing him healthy and out on the court dishing out dimes!
Hopefully he’ll be building his immune system up with lots of organics!
Fresh fruits n veggies! Lean proteins! Lots of salads! And top of the line vitamins! It will take months—perhaps longer. The thing is you don’t want to push before you’ve healed the immune system..gotten tons of rest and relaxation of both mind and body! Take Care Sun Yue…Its time to listen to your body my friend!!
