Bynum’s heading this way

Lakers center Andrew Bynum, sidelined since January because of a knee injury and subsequent surgery, will head back to Los Angeles mid-September to continue his comeback.

Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak, who met with Bynum this week in Atlanta, said Wednesday that the player expressed an eagerness to begin full-court work when he arrives on the West Coast. He will participate in drills and games either at the Lakers facility in El Segundo or in pick-up games at UCLA.
