In a landslide

Kobe and LeBronRealGM.com conducted a poll to find out who fans felt was the MVP for Team USA’s gold-medal winning basketball team in the Beijing Olympics - between the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant and Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star LeBron James.

So far, it isn’t even close. Kobe has garned 61 percent of the votes compared to 39 percent for Bron-Bron.

It was Bryant’s follow-my-example, in-your-face defense against Team USA’s competition that was the catalyst in the Americans running through the tournament undefeated.

Kobe attached himself to the opposing team’s most lethal perimeter threat in every game and was successful in shutting down each and every foe. And when Team USA was in dire need of some offensive punch, Bryant supplied that, too.
