He told the Rocky Mountain News that he would love to return to Denver, which initially drafted him in 2003. “It’s a place I call my second home,” he said in an email.

Elson is among several free-agent big men Denver is considering to replace traded center Marcus Camby.

Agent Calvin Andrews told the paper other teams eyeing Elson are Oklahoma City, Charlotte, New Jersey and possibly the Lakers. Elson wrote he’s “considering all options,” but “Denver would be great, like coming home.”
