As the Lakers mull over whether to match Golden State’s multi-year, multi-million dollar offer to Ronny Turiaf, one free agent on the market signed with another team.
The Lakers had expressed mild interest in Boston’s James Posey, arguably the most coveted unrestricted free agent out there, but Posey decided to accept a four-year deal estimated at $25 million from the Charlotte Hornets.
The price was too steep for the Lakers, who are facing luxury tax and salary cap issues.
