Lakers rookie guard Joe Crawford hedged when asked who he truthfully was rooting for during the recent NBA finals between the Lakers and the Boston Celtics.
Crawford said he has been a big Kobe Bryant fan for a long time and said that his father considers Magic Johnson to be the best point guard in the history of the game.
But Crawford also said he enjoyed a close friendship with Celtics guard Rajon Rondo, who was Crawford’s college teammate for two years at Kentucky.
So, what was Crawford’s answer?
“Lakers and Boston Celtics,” he said, the perfect cop out.
