The Lakers took the first step in the second phase of the postseason by extending qualifying offers to restricted free agents Sasha Vujacic and Ronny Turiaf, the team annnounced Monday.
The players, both restricted free agents, can entertain offers from other teams and even sign an offer sheet, but the Lakers have the ability to match any offer.
Players can not sign any offers — with new or existing teams — until the league-mandate moritorium is over on July 9.
