ESPN’s mock draft has the Lakers taking USC’s Davon Jefferson at No. 58, saying he has so much talent but “doesn’t know how to use it.”
Jefferson, a 6-foot-8 small forward, averaged 12.1 points and 6.3 rebounds as a freshman last season for the Trojans. He scored in double figures 19 times, including posting 25 points against UCLA and 23 against Oklahoma.
Whoever the Lakers take, with such a young roster, they have the luxury of stashing their draft pick either in Europe or the D-League for a year or two so they can develop more.
Are there any “obvious” choices the Lakers should look at?
