Is there hope in the air today as the Lakers travel to Boston? If so, listen up:
“Let me tell you something, my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane.”
That quote was from the prison philosopher Red in “The Shawshank Redemption.” And the Lakers, coincidentally, are in need of a little redemption.
Of course, if you’re the kind of person who leans more toward Shawshank’s star, Andy, the accountant/accused killer, you might take more heed in these words:
“Remember, Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”
