End of first quarter: Lakers 35, Celtics 14

LOS ANGELES - Lamar Odom is doing the basketball equivalent of hitting for the cycle.

He got the first basket of the game on goaltending. Then he dunked. Then he laid it in. Then he hit a jumper. Oh, he also made a free throw.

No word if Odom will be taking a penalty shot.

After a dismal performance in Game 3, Odom has 13 points. This after he scored six, eight and nine points in the previous three games.

Must be the vibes in Staples Center. Or not.

Kobe Bryant has three points, all on free throws. Trevor Ariza made a 3-pointer.

The Lakers have attempted 15 free throws (and missed five) to Boston’s two, an almost exact replay of Game 3.

Let’s hope this one is not as ugly.
