At the half: Lakers 43, Celtics 37

LOS ANGELES — There’s not much more Kobe Bryant can be doing to lead the Lakers.

Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol? Not so much.

Bryant has 19 points in the first half and Sasha Vujacic added 12 as the Lakers cling to a 43-37 lead.

Gasol and Odom have combined for two points on 0-for-5 shooting, although they do have eight rebounds.

Gasol, though, looks lost against Kendrick Perkins and Kevin Garnett. He had a turnover and two missed shots in one nightmarish sequence late the second half that has the crowd groaning.

Odom picked up his third personal foul 23 seconds in the second quarter, left and did not return.

Conspiracy theorists will pleased to know that the Lakers have 22 free throw attempts to Boston’s seven, but the Lakers aren’t taking advantage (12-for-22) and that could cost them.
