The answer: One thing, above all else.
They are playing like a team that knows, consciously or subconsciously, that they’ll contend for more titles in the future, especially with Andrew Bynum back and healthy. If you believe there’ll be other days, you just won’t be as immersed in today. This is what I tried to convey in my morning column today, written before boarding my flight at Boston’s Logan Airport to come home.
On a side note, this was Row 1 of first class on my United flight to LAX: Jeff Van Gundy, Mark Jackson, Jim Hill and Dr. Jack Ramsay. It was a media shuttle!
