BOSTON — All last season, Lamar Odom hung in his Staples Center locker a huge white T-shirt with an artist’s rendering of his infant son, Jayden, on the front. Jayden, 6 1/2 months old, died in his crib on June 29, 2006.
Tonight, playing in his first NBA Finals, Odom is wearing that shirt under his Lakers warmup.
So you can understand where Odom is coming from in dedicating this series. He hasn’t worn the shirt before a game previously.
