Utah Jazz: Dead or alive?

LOS ANGELES

For much of the first half and the first five minutes of the third quarter the Jazz didn’t show much life. They fell behind by as many as 17 points shortly after the second half started.
Then they went on a 9-0 run to trim the lead to 10 and eventually pulled to within, 68-60, before the Lakers came around and held a 79-72 lead after three quarters.
The Lakers weren’t out of trouble though, as the Jazz continued to play aggressively and keep the score close. Of course, that meant keeping Kobe away from the basket. He had just six points in the quarter.

BTW
Memphis freshman Derrick Rose sat in the same row as the Lakers bench, getting a close up view of what his life could be next basketball season. He has made himself eligible for next month’s NBA draft.
USC’s O.J. Mayo never got seats like that.
