It was business as usual for the Lakers in the early going, with Kobe Bryant taking over the scoring duties. And he took over literally.
Bryant scored 20 points, including the team’s last two baskets, to lead the Lakers to a 33-32 first-quarter lead. He took 10 shots, while the rest of the team combined had 15 shots.
In Sunday’s Game 1, Bryant got off to a slow start with only three points in the first 12 minutes, while Pau Gasol took command of the floor.
This time, the roles were reversed. Gasol touched the ball just three times, making one shot.

The “Special Ball Deliver” on Wednesday was A.C. Green, who was cheered during pregame ceremonies by those who remember his days as part of the Showtime Era.
Today, Green runs his A.C. Green Foundation, a Christian-based organization aimed at youth and social issues.
