LOS ANGELES - Sacramento’s Ron Artest and Kevin Martin are on the active list for Tuesday night’s game against the Lakers, but it is not known if they will play.

Artest has missed four of the previous six games because of a thumb injury, while Martin was thought to be questionable because of knee injury.

Both give the Lakers trouble in regards to Kobe Bryant. Artest serves as a pest while defending Bryant while Martin is a quick guard that Bryant prefers not to chase around.

Jackson speculated before the game that Artest will need surgery on his thumb, but he expected him to play.

“He’d like to be on the floor I’m sure,” Jackson said.
