LOS ANGELES - Trevor Ariza’s foot is healing but he still is still a ways off from practicing with the Lakers.
Ariza is progressing gradually but diagnostic tests revealed it is not healed fully, a team spokesman said. There is no timetable for his return.
Ariza has been cleared to run on 80 percent of his body weight this week on the club’s $75,000 weight-resistant treadmill. He is expected to go to 90 percent next week.
Ariza broke a bone in his right foot during practice in January.
