EL SEGUNDO - Lamar Odom doesn’t mind getting one more shot at the reigning MVP.

Dirk Nowitzki made a surprise return from ankle and knee injuries Wednesday and will be in the linuep when Dallas plays the Lakers on Friday.

Odom was asked half-jokingly if he was hoping to miss Nowitzki.

“No,” Odom said. “I’m kind of looking forward to that matchup. That’s a player that I like to see. It really tests me. It tests my defense a little bit. I’m glad he’s back out there.”

Nowitzki has averaged 30.3 points and 11.3 rebounds in three games against the Lakers this season. The Lakers have won two of the first three meetings.
