MINNEAPOLIS – To borrow Lamar Odom’s favorite word of late, it was a “festive” capper to this nine-game trip. Odom posted a triple-double (10 points, 10 assists, 16 rebounds), and the Lakers routed Minnesota to reach 7-2 on their epic pre-All-Star-break journey.
Odom spent the first 4:10 of the fourth quarter hunting his 10th assist, and after four letdowns when teammates missed off his passes, Sasha Vujacic finally made a layup for Odom. Kobe Bryant sprang off the bench with an open-mouthed sideways grin, waving a white towel over his head.
Bryant had 29 points; Pau Gasol had 19 on 9-of-11 shooting from the field. Bryant played all but one minute of the first half to help make sure the Lakers didn’t have to strain themselves in the second half.
QUOTABLE
Former Laker Mark Madsen tapped Phil Jackson in the back while Jackson was speaking to reporters before the game. Jackson looked over and said: “Hey, Mad Dog.”
LONGER AND MORE WINDING
Second-year guard Jordan Farmar isn’t done traveling with the end of the trip. He is headed straight to New Orleans for the All-Star rookie-sophomore game.
SICK BAY
Odom joined Gasol as Lakers to develop cold symptoms late in this trip; Odom said he hardly slept Tuesday night.

Pau’s a career 50 percent shooter from the field.
Would love to see him get more touches below ala Shaq during the championship run. Pau’s a very willing and capable passer.
