Shaq to Suns?

February 5th, 2008, 4:30 pm · 4 Comments · posted by KEVIN DING, OCREGISTER.COM

The Miami Herald is reporting that the Heat is negotiating with Lakers rival Phoenix regarding a trade of Shaquille O’Neal to the Suns for Shawn Marion. Now that would be a new twist to our old story.

Wow, what a difference a few years makes…Jerry Buss is looking smarter and smarter with each passing game that Shaq misses. And Phoenix would be absolutely stupid to take on his contract just to get rid of Shawn Marion’s. So I hope they do make that trade!

I completely agree — that would be a great trade… that is, for the Lakers.

The Suns would be stupid to make this trade. How would they ever work Shaq into their free-flowing, fast-breaking offense? I can see it now… the Suns come down, then Shaq sets up in the low-post, then one of the shooters jacks up a 3-pointer and misses, then the other team grabs the rebound and heads over the other side, but Shaq is still lumbering back to defense, and now the Suns are outmanned, but at least they have one of the best defenders in the league, but then I forgot, he’s now with the Heat.

I really hope the Suns do the trade…

Not gonna happen. If it does, you could only blame it on Mitch for driving Kerr into an illogical state with his Gasol deal. It would be a great deal for Miami though.

  4. OG Says:

that trade won’t happen.. but let me tell you about 1 that should happen.. odom, walton, and farmar for SHAQ… believe it…

    THE DUAL IS BACK
