EL SEGUNDO – Another one bites the dust ….

Trevor Ariza became the latest Laker to go down when suffered a fractured fourth metatarsal bone in his right foot when he got tangled up with Odom in practice on Sunday. The team won’t announce how long he will be out until after he sees a specialist Monday.

Ariza left practice to have X-rays taken and did not talk to reporters.

The Lakers are already without centers Andrew Bynum and Chris Mihm and forward Vladimir Radmanovic.

Ariza has been a nice surprise since he arrived in a trade from Orlando for Brian Cook and Maurice Evans on Nov.20. He has averaged 6.5 points and 3.1 rebounds and played solid defense.

Wow, why am I not surprised. Next thing you know Walton is out w/ a sprained ankle, Odom dislocates his shoulder, Farmer breaks his femur, Fisher has a severe concussion and kiss the Laker 2008 season goodbye. Hey atleast we can say “we were at the top of the Western conference for a couple of days.”

Very unfotunate. Lets hope the remaining players play 0.500 ball and keep us in the playoff picture. We can still finish strong the last month of the regular season and do some serious damage in the playoffs.
