LOS ANGELES — I was talking to Michael Lev, the Register’s new online guru, about how much more “newsy” stuff we’re putting in here … and how I also seem to have lurched into a rut of less fun in here as a result of the new structure.
Well, fun will still rule here, I decree. Along those lines my choice for a quote from Phil Jackson’s pregame gathering with reporters to relay to you is Jackson harking back to the Lakers-Pistons game last season when Rasheed Wallace entertained himself to no end by referring to then-wild-haired Lakers forward Vladimir Radmanovic as “Borat.”
“Wallace toasted him and made fun of him and made Borat jokes about him when he was out there,” Jackson recalled.
The way Wallace can talk, it’s hard not to notice what he’s saying. And it was memorable enough that the Lakers’ players were still laughing about it two days later at practice in Cleveland.

hilarious… too bad I bet you can’t print most of the other stuff Sheed utters on the court!
