The Lakers’ average price for a season ticket this season is by far the highest in the NBA, according to Team Marketing Report. The Lakers are at $89.24 compared to New York’s $70.51, the league’s next-highest average. Boston was third at $65.43, and New Orleans was the lowest at $24.58.

The Lakers also led the NBA in average cost for a family of four to see the Lakers: $453.95.

“We strive to keep it affordable for all families,” said Tim Harris, Lakers senior vice president of business operations. “You have to keep in mind that 40 percent of the Lakers’ controlled ticket inventory is less than $40 a ticket.”

The Lakers raised their average ticket price 4.5 percent this season. They also added 15 courtside seats – at $2,300 each – by eliminating a row of prime media seating from the floor level. The new courtside seats mean $1,483,500 in additional season revenue.
